5 Things not to bring home from a vacation
Bringing home a few souvenirs from your travels is a great way to remember your vacation. However, spending on items that will just be stored away is a waste of money and space. Here are 5 things that you should not bring home from a vacation.
Coins and currency – Leave extra coins and currency behind, as you will often never use it again. Therefore spend all your currency on items like foodstuff that you can use on your trip home.
Stuff that may not pass security – Look at your airport’s regulations on food, souvenirs, and medicines entering the country. This way you will be aware of what you can and cannot buy.
A fake accent – Adapting an accent to make sure the locals understand what you are saying is a good idea. However, you will have to dial it back when you get home.
Critters – To avoid bringing home bed bugs or cockroaches in your luggage, make sure you wash your clothing and only have a few items that are not clean.
Exotic germs – The best way to enjoy your holiday and avoid bringing in germs into your home country, is to use antibacterial gels and wash your hands before and after meals as well as after using the toilet. You should also wash all your clothing in hot water once you arrive back from your holiday.
